Quick Review:
This is a charmingly funny and very strange episodic adventure. Many of the adventures brought to mind The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in the way that the characters just found themselves in strange worlds and ridiculous situations.
I looked it up after listening to the audio and learned that it really is four smaller parts combined in one book, which makes me think the audiobook should have made this more clear because sometimes the timelines and jumps were confusing. I think reading this on paper I would have been less confused 😂
I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a fan of the Wizard. He is the epitome of a reluctant chosen one/hero but to an extreme where I find his unwilling attitude about everything but gold obnoxious. The Tourist though? Perfection 😂 The side characters were great! I was a big fan of the Luggage and the Sea Troll… also, the imaginary dragon.
