ARC Review: Things That Go BUMP in the Restaurant

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Things That Go BUMP in the Restaurant
By Thryn Knox

Thank you to Thryn Knox for the beta and ARC copies of this novella. All opinions are my own.

As a big fan of Thryn’s End of Little Folk Lane series, I was really excited to read Things That Go BUMP in the Restaurant, a spooky rom-com with a relationship-ending curse, Cask of Amontillado vibes, a snarky librarian, and a hilarious mafia side quest.

Felicity, our librarian FMC, starts the book on yet another bad date. But she catches the eye of a prominent investor in the restaurant, and he reveals to her that there’s something terribly wrong about dates at the restaurant, and she probably wasn’t the problem.

Naturally inquisitive and an avid researcher, Felicity teams up with the investor to find out why his restaurant in particular seems to harbor such bad vibes, resulting in break ups and ridiculous arguments any time a couple meets for a romantic dinner.

Of course, she quickly falls for the handsome investor and soon the two are more than a team solving a silly mystery.

With a jealous ghost, memorable side characters, incredible spice scenes, and misunderstandings and giggles galore, Things That Go BUMP in the Restaurant is a delightfully cosy, spooky romantic read. I definitely recommend it this October.
