Demon for a Knight
By KJ Bradford

In Demon for a Knight, KJ Bradford weaves a beautiful sapphic romance in the midst of a corrupt court.
Lark, our female knight, has presented as male her entire life — primarily to avoid being married off to a man. As far as the court knows, Lark is a chivalrous but fairly useless male knight, allowing her brother, Sparrow, to claim her victories in the field.
Sinclaire is a lady’s maid and a demon who Lark has always had a small crush on, but refused to act. Demons and humans don’t flirt or date or marry; demons are thought of as somewhat lesser beings with evil hearts and corrupt minds.
When their fates are inevitably bound together after the murder of a noblewoman, Sinclaire and Lark fall hard and fast for each other — and realize their goals may align more than they thought.
KJ Bradford never disappoints. I really enjoyed Lark’s perspective and her relationship with her twin, Sparrow. I also fully enjoyed her exploration of her gender, sexuality, and identity after a lifetime of presenting one way but being unsure how to really be herself.
Sinclaire was equally cute and terrifying. Ten out of ten. I don’t know if I want to be her or be her best friend 😂✨
And of course, I love a sapphic happily ever after. Read this book if you like lady knights, catlike demons, and novellas that will fully immerse you and leave you wanting more.
