A Strange and Stubborn Endurance

By Foz Meadows

Narrated by James Fouhey and Vikas Adam

Quick Review

Audio:
This audiobook was great! The full cast of narrators was engaging and expressive, even listening at 2x speed I don’t feel like I missed much.

The story:
To preface, I’d like to give a blanket trigger warning for on-page sexual assault. This is a pretty major defining plot point, so skip this book if you’re not in the right place for it.

WITH THAT SAID, I highly recommend this book for the queer love, the devastation and healing, and an arranged marriage story that switches it up . I’ve come to expect “they hate each other then fall in love” but this book is something else entirely, focusing more completely on our characters’ mental health journeys and Kingdom politics as they fall for each other.
